Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
What is individual pet cremation and how does it work?
Individual pet cremation is a private cremation service where your pet is cremated alone, ensuring you receive only their ashes. At Paws2Ashes, we treat each pet with dignity and care. After the cremation, your pet’s ashes are returned to you in a personalised urn or keepsake. We offer individual pet cremation across London, Kent, Surrey, and Crawley, with same day service available.
What’s the difference between individual and communal pet cremation?
Where can I find pet cremation services in London, Kent, Surrey, or Crawley?
Do you offer same day pet cremation?
Can I be present during my pet's cremation
We can arrange for you to visit our crematorium and be present in our memorial private farewell room where you will be able to say your final goodbyes, but you will not be allowed to witness the actual cremation process.
Can I keep my pet’s ashes after cremation?
Yes. If you choose an individual pet cremation with Paws2Ashes, your pet is cremated privately and their ashes are returned to you in a keepsake urn of your choice and a memorial item if you select it. This option is available for dogs, cats, and small animals across London, Kent, Surrey, and Crawley.
Is pet cremation better than pet burial?
Cremation is often more practical and allows you to keep or scatter ashes. While some owners may prefer cemetery burial, pet cremation offers flexibility, especially if you move home or want to keep your pet’s ashes close. It is also a more environmentally friendly choice.
Do you offer pet memorial jewellery or keepsakes?
Yes. Paws2Ashes offers a wide range of pet cremation keepsakes, including memorial jewellery, custom urns, photo frames, urn necklaces and engraved plaques. These keepsakes are designed to honour your pet’s memory in a personal and lasting way.
What should I do after my pet passes away?
When your pet passes away, it’s important to act quickly. Keep your pet’s body cool and ideally wrapped in a towel or blanket. At Paws2Ashes we offer 24/7 pet collection service from your home or vet. We will transport your beloved pet with care to our crematorium where we provide individual or communal cremation.

Do you collect pets from my home or vet after passing?
